Pfluger Architects, the architect for the HHS modernization project, offered a structure schematic to the Hutto ISD board of trustees at an April 14 conference.
The schematic involves renovations and expansions to many areas of the school, which include the band hall, A/V tech, STEM and agriculture. It also features additional parking place close to the stadium.
Pfluger Architects agent Jessica Molter said the business performed community surveys as element of the schematic structure phase to figure out which parts it must focus on.
Molter stated profession and specialized instruction and great arts were two of the optimum priorities recognized in the course of the course of action.
“I imagine it was good to have pupils who are going to be impacted by these sites be a portion of that, due to the fact the items that they ended up bringing up had been factors that we would by no means contemplate,” Board Member Morgan Hubbard reported.
In accordance to the presentation, the district has all over $35 million readily available for challenge development fees, and the funding comes from a 2019 $194.4 million bond.
The board will consider motion on the product at its upcoming assembly on April 28. If the board approves, Pfluger Architects will shift into the design improvement phase.
If the job remains on agenda, development will start out some time in 2023, according to the presentation.
