Melania Trump posted a assertion to her web site on Friday expressing that she was “dissatisfied but not surprised” when an Oklahoma university specializing in sophisticated computer science skills turned down her donation. The donation was created on behalf of the former 1st lady’s foundation, Fostering the Long run, a Be Best Initiative, which she started shortly soon after her time in the White Household.

Melania presents track record on the donation endeavor in the intro to her statement:

Not too long ago, a pc science university founded in Silicon Valley with a campus in Oklahoma agreed to operate with Fostering the Future. Numerous scholarships have been going to be granted through the school’s desired designated fund, based mostly in Tulsa, with the to start with class of students enrolling in Fall 2022. I had signed the Specified Fund Settlement and was waiting for the countersignature when the school informed me it would no more time participate. They would not take scholarship bucks for deserving students—even as an nameless present. It was created obvious to me that the school’s Board of Administrators structured a politically-motivated decision.

Mrs. Trump goes on to say that this is not the first time her charitable donations have been rejected, and that’s a reality. In 2017 Melania tried to donate a choice of Dr Seuss textbooks to the Cambridgeport elementary faculty library in Massachusetts and the school’s librarian, Liz Phipps Soeiro, turned them away. Soeiro doubled-down on her rejection of the guides saying “you may perhaps not be mindful of this, but Dr Seuss is a little bit of a cliche, a fatigued and worn ambassador for kid’s literature … “another simple fact that numerous folks are unaware of is that Dr Seuss’s illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and dangerous stereotypes.”

“Those people who attack my initiatives and produce the appearance of impropriety are quite pretty much dream killers,” Melania claims in the closing of her statement. “They have canceled the hopes and dreams of little ones by attempting to terminate me.”
